The Place of Courage central is near the new Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Creating a symbolic and practical link between spaces of healing—medical care —and places of emotional and spiritual recovery.

With State Government, City of Adelaide and community support, Spirit of Woman are creating South Australia’s first public tribute to victims and survivors of domestic and family violence (DFV) – The Place of Courage.
This revolutionary and inclusive space (to be established in the Tulya Wardli/Bonython Park and Council Areas across SA) will be a powerful public reminder and acknowledgement of the horrific damage caused by DFV in our communities.

Please watch the video
Generations of silence have kept the truth of domestic violence hidden, preventing many from receiving the care they need. By donating, you can help us empower victims to break their silence and find the support they need. Your contributions will aid in offering essential resources for their recovery and healing. Let’s ensure every victim has the opportunity to be heard and to heal.
Thank you

"I am pleased to support The Place of Courage project - the first of its kind here in Australia. It is so very important for victims of family violence and their families to share their experiences safely so that they can recover and move forward with their lives."
